Hey lovelies! I went for a very basic and simple look, but because it’s still not Summer yet, I couldn’t get away with bare legs so decided to chuck some tights into the mix as well. I thought the background was rather pretty with the bright yellow flowers…I hope you’re having a lovely day; May the 4th be with you! *Oh how punny I am*

Hey lovelies! Girl-cliques is the hot topic today, oh yes. Popular candy-pop teens donned in sparkles…Oh, the dream. Everyone wants to be a part of ‘that’ awesome crew at school…Wouldn’t it be incredibly cool to be a part of the Mean Girls gang wearing pink on Wednesdays? Or we could just join the Grease girls and become a pink lady.

I’m in love with this poster and the many pins that can be found on Sara M. Lyons’ website! Whoever you want to be, there’s a pin for all.

Hey lovelies! We all know that I’m truly addicted to tumblr, so I thought I’d accumulate some of my favourite fashion-based pictures off the wonderful webby-site!

11. Stripes are such a simple, classic trend, but stripes always seem so refreshing in any outfit!

42. Monochrome is so effortless and chic; So easy to pull off!

103. Crisp white blouses and matching hair scream class.

124. Plum lippies and simple tees are edgy and eye catching.

175. I love this whole outfit…Tailored trousers, a baggy jumper and clunky, huge shoes; My style in one outfit.

186. This girl’s make-up is flawless, and toning the outfit down by wearing all black really allows her eyes and nails to pop!

197. This outfit gets me all excited for Autumn, as it truly epitomises the effortless fall look. Chunky scarves and no effort.

208. This eyeshadow is gorgeous, as well as the massive silk bow added to the mix; I truly wish I could pull off this look!

219. Although you can’t see much of this outfit, you can make out the perfectly tailored jacket and cute knee-high socks.

2210. This outfit is so delicate and unique. It ‘s such a pretty and feminine look!

2311. I’ve already showed a stripy classic jumper, but I just haaad to include this picture as well, as this girl’s eye make-up and hair is perfect.

2412. Simple, easy and refreshing.

2813. Halo braids are actually perfect. The added elegance of the blouse helps the whole outfit pull itself off!

3114. I need to get my hands on some of these choker necklaces, but to be honest I don’t know where to look! (Can anyone help me out?!)

3815. This hat is perfect for unruly hair days, and pulls together any outfit.

3916. Boho vibes are just oozing from this outfit…The hat, the crop; utterly perfect.

Me, Fran, Chloe and Charlotte all came over to hers to tie-dye, creating swirls and various patterns, including wrecking pairs of socks, shoes and bed sheets (brown and black ruins it altogether!) The dye kinda messed up my socks and ruined my trousers, as I spilt some of the dye onto them (my poor old Jamie Topshop jeans!) The dye also kinda stained our skin, so I had various purple fingers and spots of dye all over my feet, ugh. I’m pretty proud of my three tops though! (Mine are the bottom three from the right). I will definitely be wearing them with items such as high-waisted shorts and gold chains! Tie dye is so quick and easy, and ends up looking awesome; I really recommend getting a tie-dye kit as it’s so much fun, and is a great way to spend the day with friends!

Recently I’ve just been re-watching many a French fashion film; French accents are so romantic and beautiful…Oh to be French, living in Paris avec une frange…Literally the dream. I’ve also realised how elegant and remarkably dressed French women are; dungarees, peter pan collars, awesome hats and pearls…

Have you heard about Vanessa Hudgens’ new Bongo clothing ad campaign? Well, in a nutshell…All the pictures that glossy Hudgens has posed for are in fact, photo-shop free! No retouches or airbrushing was used at all, and it’s just pure Vanessa as her true self. This is such a powerful campaign, as it shows that all us girls (and boys!!!) shouldn’t have to change ourselves, but love our bodies and who we are…For who we are! It’s so inspirational that Vanessa would agree to go ahead with this, as it’s so hard to find celebrities in magazines with none of the normal photo-shopping antics that you would normally find!

It’s admirable that Bongo would choose to break down those photo-shop barriers, and show people that we need to end this photo-shopping frenzy…It’s not fair on those women who pick up magazines and question whether their bodies are ‘too fat’ or ‘too thin’, when in fact they’re neither…Everyone’s beautiful the way that they are. Fact.

It’s such a positive campaign, that we need to get other companies to follow in Bongo‘s footsteps and bring an end to these false images of women, when they don’t even look that way! It’s safe to say that I shall be ticking Vanessa off as one of the positive role models that we should all see ourselves admiring…

What are your thoughts on the horrible truth of photo-shopping?

Tallulah xoxo

P.S. Bongo owns all these photos!

Hey lovelies! Today I’m sharing with you Sarah’s guest post on all things accessories and seasonal!

Spring is in full swing with its bright rays of sunshine and warm days, so it’s time to forget about the winter cold and to think about a new wardrobe and find out what the new fashionable season can offer you! Here are some tips that will help you look gorgeous and trendy.

Becoming shimmering:
Add the gentleness and enigma to your appearance with fringe! This trend was presented in collections by Valentino, Altuzarra, Calvin Klein, Dries Van Noten and Celine. Fringe is a trend with history saturated by art-deco style and fashion of the 1920s and by the freedom of the hippie movement of the 1970s. Fringed purses and bags will ginger up every look and fringed shoes will bring fun and playful note to your appearance.

Shining:
Another spellbinding trend are metal-shining accessories: Sparkling silver and gold purses, shoes, jewellery, sunglasses and everything that looks metallic. In the 1960s when they started to make synthetic fabrics, the metallic effect in clothes got very popular. And in the 1970s and 1980s, it also influenced the accessories fashion. Shiny metallic accessories remain popular even today. Let’s, for example, recall Martin Margiella’s clutches that looked like metal sheets. And this spring metallic trend was featured in collections by Fendi, Antonio Marras, Roberto Cavalli, Jil Sander, Iceberg, Etro and Dolce & Gabbana. There is something imperceptibly appealing in metal shine, at the same time it brings strength and femininity to the appearance. With this glossy trend you will surely conquer everyone!

Mixing styles:
There are some nice trends for jewellery this year. It’s very interesting, that pearls are becoming popular now, athough classic style accessories are changing to urban style. Pearls of different sizes on one string and numerous strings of small pearls on one necklace, will add some elegance to your look. This trend is presented in collections by Chanel and Valentino. Also, geometrical shaped jewellery are in fashion, so you can experiment with different shapes, bringing some extraordinariness to your appearance. And of course, technology also influenced accessory fashion. This season all the smart watches are in trend. This is the time when high-tech smart devices become exquisite jewellery, so pay more attention to your wrists.

Getting textured:

Shoes are one of the most important accessories, and they make your outfit complete, so it’s very good that this season we have a really good choice of shoes. Block heel shoes and platforms are in trend this spring; they can be textured, shiny and monochrome. So this is a very good solution for those who like comfortable shoes, but still want to look great and trendy. Mid-heel shoes are also in fashion. They are arty and colourful. These trends can be found in collections by Burberry, Zara, M&S, Mulberry, Christian Louboutin, Giorgio Armani, and Jason Wu. Whether you choose a pair of shoes for everyday or something for the evening out, you will definitely look stylish and fancy.

All the trends this season will be glittering, elegant, and colourful, with a contrast of styles and ideas fitting to every mood and desire. Feel free to experiment and combine different types of accessories to show your uniqueness.
